Did you know that according to LA Times, the average American household has over 300,000 items in it?
That’s a lot of stuff!
And did you know that at least 10% of American households also rent a storage unit for extra stuff they can’t fit into their house at a cost of about $ 1,200 a year?
That’s a lot of money!
And did you know that 75% of American households engage in at least one home decluttering project in 2022?
That’s a lot of people who want to declutter!
What does that say about…
- Our desire to take back control of our homes and our lives that are overrun with too much stuff?
- Our desire to live a simpler, less cluttered life with less stuff, less stress, and less guilt so we can have more life.
That’s why you’re here and that’s why I’m here. I’m inviting you to get started on a 12-month decluttering journey that will change your life.
If you’re committed to decluttering, and if you’re willing to do the work, one year from now, you will be able to say, I did it!
- You will begin to experience the freedom and peace of mind that comes with owning less.
- You will experience a higher quality of life with more time, money, energy, and freedom to live the kind of life you want to live, without the burden of too much stuff.
Right now, you might be thinking…
“It’s impossible,” and that you are the only one whose house is always cluttered, and you can’t find what you need when you need it.
Not true!
Or you might be thinking…
You’re one of those people who just can’t seem to “get it together”, while all the other people are just naturally organized and already know how to live clutter-free!
Also, not true!
Bottom line. You’re not alone!
There are many others out there just like you who want to declutter, but have tried and failed many times. But this time you are driven to succeed!
As a matter of fact, one of the top 3 New Year’s resolutions is to declutter the home. Perhaps that’s why you’re reading this.
Many people just like you are tired of being stressed out by all the clutter in their homes. They’re tired of being overwhelmed by the enormity of the project they face. And they’re tired of the many ways clutter is impacting their lives… their health and well-being, their relationship and family life, their productivity, and their ability to focus.
That’s why I created this brand new 12-Month Decluttering Challenge for 2023.
PS: Watch it on my YouTube channel.
It’s intended to inspire and motivate you, to help you:
- Get your home and your life back by learning how to let go of not just the excess stuff, but also the guilt and anxiety associated with clutter.
- Declutter faster and more efficiently, and make quicker decisions when you follow the simple, easy-to-use process.
- Help you develop new routines and habits along the way so that you can remain clutter-free in the future.
No matter where you are on your decluttering journey, no matter your age or your life stage, this customized decluttering plan is one you design yourself that fits your lifestyle, your personality, and your schedule, so you can get started right away.
It will help you set realistic, achievable goals with practical timelines and milestones so you can go at your own pace.
If you are committed, if you are willing to do the work, one year from now, you will be experiencing a whole new life and home after decluttering, and you’ll have practical tools to help you remain clutter-free from now on.
But I won’t promise you that this 12-Month Decluttering Challenge journey will be easy. If you want to learn how to defeat clutter once and for all you need to decide to get tough on yourself because you have to…
1. Confront the fact that your clutter is real!
No more excuses. No more lies that we tell ourselves that lead to cluttered homes in the first place. See Joshua Becker’s blog about the 7 Clutter Lies.
2. Stop resisting!
Prioritize decluttering. Put it on your calendar. Just do it!
3. Focus!
On one room, one area, and one shelf at a time.
And for sure, you should expect a few bumps along the way! You will likely experience…
1. Powerful emotions:
- Tears, upset, frustration
2. Negative self-talk
- “I’ll never be able to do this.”
3. Pushback from family and friends
- Not everyone will be as committed as you to decluttering.
This is your decluttering project… not theirs!
Once you accept this 12-Month Decluttering Challenge, once you start to do the work and see progress, you will see your life changing right before your eyes month after month.
