What have you been noticing and discovering about yourself and those around your since you’ve been in “sheltering in place?”

Have you noticed a new mental toughness, a stronger muscle to adapt, navigate and rebound?

The impact of COVID-19 on our lives has been profound, but what is even more amazing to me is our ability to pivot to learn new ways to keep moving forward in spite of the unexpected crisis that turned our lives and our world upside down.

Almost overnight, we learned how to:

  • Work from home.
  • Homeschool our children.
  • Adopt new technology.
  • Cook more meals at home.
  • Have virtual family celebrations.
  • Social distance!

What’s truly remarkable is the resilience and resourcefulness that has allowed us to not only adapt to all of the change but in many cases see ways to embrace it as an opportunity to listen, learn and reinvent ourselves and our lives so that when this period of hibernation is over, we will not only be stronger, we will be better…yes, because of COVID-19 and because our world was paused.

Many have embraced this time as an opportunity to slow down and reassess…ourselves, our lives, and our schedules.

How Has COVID-19 Changed You?

Will you ever go back to work 24/7 or do you have a new perspective on the value of quality time in wanting more of that time with your family and loved ones?

Will you be going back to a 9 – 5 work schedule or will you be renegotiating your work schedule for better work life integration and balance?

Will you be going back to the same job that you tolerated and didn’t love, or have you decided to start your own business or side gig so that you can do what you love and love what you do?

No one can predict what the “new normal” will look like or the new realties we will face but, what you might have noticed is that…

While life may not have gotten any easier…you have probably gotten better!

I’m curious…

How has this period of quarantine and sheltering in place changed your life for the better?

I would love to hear from you. Send me your thoughts, comments or questions to RitaWilkins@RitaWilkins.com.

In the meantime, continue to stay safe and stay well.

Warm Regards,
